We received an email from Jim about Peru. Please read his note, and start to praying!
FROM JIM: You may want to begin monitoring the US State Dept. advice on travel to Peru, or other sources of the news. The Peruvian president is railroading a sale of all water rights in Peru to foreign "investors", against popular vote and opinion. There are strikes, road closures, and the threat of a much wider protest (I don't blame them! the long tradition of selling off all the billions of dollars of mineral rights value, and now the very irrigation water that the people use to grow their food.)
Please pray:
- God's will be done in regards to the Peruvian water supply
- Travel mercies for everyone going on the trip
- That this civil unrest will not cause the trip to be cancelled
- Wisdom for Kathy and Jim as they decide if this trip is a go or not
