Help!!!

Dear Friends,

Hello! How are you? I am doing well, and maintaining a busy life. As you may know, I am teaching science at Independence Academy Charter School here in Grand Junction. It is a great job and I look forward to what God brings in the future in my position. Speaking of what God brings, I have once again been bit by the “travel bug.”

This summer I have the opportunity to travel with a group from my church to Huanuco, Peru to assist in building a childrens’ group home for the PFC Peru Mission. We will leave Denver on July 9th, 2009 and return to Denver on July 22nd, 2009.

The PFC Peru Mission is operated to provide a home and a hope for sexually and physically abused girls in Huanuco, Peru. Did you know that 70% of all girls in Peru are sexually and/or physically abused? That most of this abuse occurs by a family member? The PFC Peru Mission strives to create a safe haven for girls of all ages to come for safety and for love. To be able to go on this mission trip, I would like to invite you to join my team of ministry partners. I have to raise $2300 to be able to go and I have faith that God will bless the people who choose to join this team. So would you prayerfully consider making a one-time gift of $20? If I get one hundred fifteen people to give a gift of $20, then I will be able to achieve my goal. This gift is tax deductible, and checks can be made out to ACC (Appleton Christian Church). Please write “Peru STM” in the memo line (do not write my name anywhere on the check, per the trip leader) or use a sticky note and write “Peru STM Casto” on the sticky note.

Also a vital part of joining my ministry team is being a prayer supporter. I need a core group of people who will dedicate themselves to praying daily for me, and the team as a whole. I will be encountering spiritual warfare on a level that I can not even imagine because I will be presenting the gospel right in Satan’s face. It will be fulfilling the Great Commission on an extreme level with hardcore effort.
